英語構文

find it ... for 人 to do (that) 〜   人にとって〜するのは…だと思う

  • I found it hard for him to keep a diary in English.

訳)彼には英語で日記をつけるのは難しいと思う。

 

itがto不定詞を指す形式目的語、that以下を指す形式目的語の場合がある。

どちらもSVOCの文型をとる。

I found it hard for him that he keep a diary in English.

また、to doの代わりにdoingとなることもある。

I found it hard for him that keeping a diary in English.

 

find以外にもthink, believe, suppose, considerなどができる。
